What's Beautiful

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Signing Up

Do I need a Facebook account to sign up?

You may sign up with either your Facebook account or a valid email address. However, we encourage you to link your What’s Beautiful profile to your Facebook page to help spread the word about the competition.

Completing Challenges

Why doesn’t my “upload” button work?

In order to begin submitting challenges, you must declare a goal for yourself. To create a goal, click the “post a goal” button below your profile picture.

Can I edit my challenges?

Yes. When you click on any of your challenges, you will see an option to "delete challenge.” Once deleted, you may complete that challenge again. While this option is available, we encourage you to simply upload new videos into the “Forward Progress” category.

What's the best file type for pictures?

Picture files should be smaller than 1.5 MB, and should be either .jpg or .png format. If uploading images from a mobile device, make sure to capture the image horizontally. Pictures taken vertically may sometimes upload sideways.

What's the best file type for videos?

Video files should be either .mov or .mp4 format. While there is no size limit, the larger the video is, the longer it will take to upload.

How much content can I upload?

The more, the better. Once you have completed a challenge, the corresponding circle will be filled in, but you can upload under that challenge more than one time. In fact, we encourage you to use “Forward Progress” as much and as often as you want to convey your story, and “Community Throwdown” to post challenges to and answer challenges from the What’s Beautiful community.

Why do some of the challenges change and some don’t?

“From the Mountaintop,” “Forward Progress” and “Community Throwdown” are always up. Use “From the Mountaintop” to proclaim your goal each time you update it. “Forward Progress” is designed to help you keep track of your story your own way – your own progress log. And “Community Throwdown” allows you to keep throwing out challenges to the community and answering them.

Teams

Does a team have to be an actual team?

Nope. Any group of women can become a team and post a goal together.

How do I join a team?

You can request to join a team by visiting the team’s page and clicking the “request team invite” button. The members of that team will then be able to give you access to join that team. If you aren’t a member of the site, click “sign up to request team invite” and you will be guided through the sign-up process.

How do I invite more friends to a team that I already created?

Click the blue "invite members” button on your page to send out invites.

Can teams win the competition prize?

Unfortunately, teams cannot win the Under Armour Retreat prize – only the individuals are eligible to win that one. You can be a member of a team and have an individual goal and page as well. Being a member of a team will not affect your eligibility or chances of winning the competition prize. And, who’s to say, if a team really brings it, there may also be something in it for you.

Can I leave a team after I have joined?

Of course. Click on “members” on the team page. Find your name. Out to the right side, there will be a button "Leave Team.”

How do I connect my Facebook account if I signed up for the site with an email address?

On your settings page, you will find the option to link your What’s Beautiful profile to your Facebook account. This action may be undone at any time.

However, you may turn off this sharing at any time. To do so, simply go to your settings page and de-select the option that says “Send your actions to Facebook Timeline.”

The Competition

Do I have to stop uploading when the competition is over?

No way! There is no cutoff for uploading content and completing challenges. In fact, we want you to keep using this site as much as you want. But as a note, the three winners of the competition will be selected on or around July 15, 2013. The initial selection will be made based on the content submitted before that date.

Why do certain people have badges on their profile page?

Those badges are an indication of Top Performers in the community. The badges are given to winners, finalists and MCs. MCs are “Motivational Champions.” These women are the top ten competitors in each round of competition. They serve as ambassadors for the Under Armour brand.

Can I win again if I’ve already been a winner or a finalist?

That’s on you. Your past success does not carry over into the new round. Your goal has to be bigger and your journey has to blow us away again. But like you, we’ll never say “never.”
